Zen Hotel Versilia

We have been going to this hotel for five years and are always satisfied. Very nice and friendly staff, very good service!!!!! And we keep coming back!!!!!!

The rating of 1 is an average between the 3 that the hotel deserves and the 0 that the restaurant deserves. Let's start with the hotel, a well-maintained and sufficiently clean 4-star establishment. The reception staff is helpful, and the cleaning staff is kind. Some improvements to suggest: - plastic samples in 2026 are a bit outdated... it would be more convenient and environmentally friendly to have a dispenser in the shower and one at the sink. - this is the first time I have not found a kettle in a 4-star hotel. - if the bicycles block the entrance ramp, guests with strollers or wheelchairs are forced to use the stairs. Restaurant service, rating 0. The restaurant is small and nice. The breakfast on the sweet side is excellent. The dinner had more lows than highs (considering the price!). But the problem is the staff. The maître is truly a rude and disrespectful person, and the rest of the waiters seemed subservient to this character. We have never experienced moments of discomfort like we did on this vacation. On multiple occasions, he spoke loudly with colleagues, using very rude and disrespectful epithets and phrases regarding me and my family. All of this after simple requests (to lower the air conditioning, to serve the dish for the 1-year-old child first, etc.). For example, it is truly shameful and outrageous to hear the head waiter of a 4-star hotel restaurant loudly say, "thank goodness they are leaving." He made it clear that children are not welcome, while dogs are much more welcome. Finally, we reported the maître's behavior to the reception as well, but our discomfort was not well perceived. Unfortunately, the behavior of the maître completely damages the entire establishment.
