GRAND TAMERICI AND PRINCIPE

I stayed here as part of a group, I suspect the tour group operator negotiates a lean deal with the hotel and this is reflected in the food that we were served. Breakfasts were fine and was the same as all the hotel guests. The evening meal served to us on the tour was different from the main guests and was not of a great standard. Be warned if you are part of a tour group the food you may be served will be different and maybe disappointing in comparison to the reviews. The hotel is in a good location and indeed Montecatini Terne is a great place to explore Tuscany. My room was large and had a balcony overlooking the road, the room was spacious, furniture was dated but the room clean as was the bathroom area. Staff were friendly and courteous the barman was very pleasant and made a good limoncello spritz! Generally the hotel is of a good standard, public areas are tired but dont let this put you off staying here. Room keys are the original ones and are very heavy remember to hand in if you go out. You certainly dont want to be carrying around!!!

Hotel in the center, a few steps from the main square and all the venues. Very kind at the arrival reception. Varied breakfast with savory and sweet options for everyone with good ingredients, served poolside or in the indoor dining room. The pool is small but very clean. There are few lounge chairs around for guests when the property is full, and they are also a bit old. The rooms could use a bit of renovation in terms of furnishings, however, they are superlatively clean and the bathrooms have been more recently renovated. Very clean linens. Paid outdoor parking in blue-lined spaces with a hotel discount or indoor parking. It I recommend it

Fascinating property in its retro style; we were pleasantly impressed by the efficient, clean structure and impeccable cuisine; highly recommended.
