A lovely hotel. Quite grand but refurbished to a modern standard. Staff amazing. Every one of them would greet you with a smile. Food typical for an Italian hotel, pasta starter but choice very good. Great air conditioning. Highly recommended.

Not a pleasant experience staying here. Reception staff were aggressive when you asked for help, waiting on staff treated you with indifference, pillows on the bed were old and lumpy, we found long dark hairs IN our bed, no comfy chairs to sit on in the bedroom and the food was not nice at all. There was no water on the dining table, it was €3 a bottle no coffee or tea offered at the end of the meal. Would not recommend staying here

We stayed at this hotel from June 21 to July 5. Located in a strategic spot, 200m from the Redi thermal baths that we were interested in, 100m from the main street of Montecatini (via Verdi), and a 10-minute walk from the station. Well-maintained hotel, courteous and helpful staff, quality restaurant, room with the right amount of space for three people, and the third bed was neither an armchair nor a sofa bed, but a full-fledged single bed. However, the closet had neither drawers nor shelves, so it was impossible to organize the clothing for three people for 15 days. We kept them piled up and messy at the bottom of the closet, which was actually spacious in itself... What does it cost to put in a couple of shelves, allowing those who are staying for a fairly long time to arrange their things in an orderly manner???? Those who stay for only one night do not need to unpack their suitcases, but those who stay for two weeks need a minimum of comfort. The cleanliness of the room was not exactly the best. It happened that we unintentionally left something on the floor in the morning (a bandage wrapper), and when we returned to the room after they had cleaned it, we found it where we had left it. And now I will highlight the most negative aspect... We opted for half board with drinks excluded. Because of the infernal heat we suffered, we arrived at dinner very thirsty. We asked for water, even up to three bottles per meal: it was filtered tap water. Okay, no problem. The absurd thing is that we paid a full 3 euros for each bottle!!!! A bottle of drinkable tap water for 3 euros???? With a 100% profit margin??? For a cost of 3 euros, I expect a bottle of packaged, bottled, sealed mineral water, even in glass... certainly not purified tap water!!!! Last year in Paris, in various restaurants, they gave us San Pellegrino water for 3 euros!!!! Are you kidding me???? We were left speechless! You are risking your reputation over a trifle! It is true that nowadays you have to pay for everything, and a lot, no matter what you do. The only thing left for free is the air you breathe, but only in part….because you pay for part of the air you breathe with this absurd tourist tax: you go to a place, you pay for the hotel, you pay for the restaurant, you pay for the bar, you pay for everything you want to do or visit, you stimulate the economy but it is not enough….there is also the tourist tax!!!!
