Montecatini Palace

Stunning 5-star hotel, everything fantastic starting from breakfast to lunch by the pool, staff truly worthy of the property, always smiling and helpful; a special thanks goes to the manager (I presume) Ester, who, to make up for a small technical problem with the air conditioning (which can happen in the middle of the season), gifted us the suite for one night, a gesture that was very appreciated and not at all taken for granted. Similar to a recent reviewer, we were let down by a previous hotel on the grounds that it was appalling and so we managed to get 12 nights here at very short notice. We didn’t know what to expect. We’d never been to the town before. Upon arriving, we realised that we had no reason to be worried. The hotel is obviously clean, modern and very welcoming. The girls on reception are all brilliant. The team up at the roof top pool are also very good. Every single member of staff was a credit to the hotel. Polite, with a sense of humour and helpful Breakfast is really good. Much better than most places we’ve been to and it’s very smooth and easy. The spa is nice and we were able to have a nice massage. Good housekeeping too. I really think this hotel is very well run. The team never look like anything is too much trouble. I really liked Alessio. A lovely guy who you can tell works hard and tries hard to make the guests happy. Hotels with people like him are the ones you remember. Angelica on reception was also nothing other than a pleasure. I have nothing to criticise.

We booked this hotel very last minute for the same day as we had been let down by another hotel . All I can say is wow the greeting we were welcomed was truly 5 star . We were upgraded to a superior room and it was beautiful . Great location to everything and breakfast was also amazing you could order eggs any style which were made fresh and brought to your table. We stayed two nights and really wish we could have stayed longer. The pool on the roof was amazing great space. We had lunch there which was also lovely . They also let us keep our room for the day at no extra charge as we had a very late flight back . I hope to return soon
