Run. This was a scary experience. As I arrived, they were fighting. She showed me to a room which was dark and very musty/moldy. When I said I couldn't breathe, she offered a more expensive room, which I declined and said I would have to leave. She immediately started pressuring me for cash and when I told her I did not have cash, she called her boyfriend to stand in front of the doorway. I was there less than 10 minutes, feeling very unsafe. I had to wrestle my passport out of her hand and when I got in my car, they refused to open the gate to let me out. Very bizarre people. They then charged my credit card $440 euros which I cannot get back. Run.

We received a warm welcome from friendly host Lucia who was very sweet. The room and bedroom was huge and had views down to the valley. A 5 minute walk uphill to Pienza. The breakfast was plentiful and beautifully laid out on each table. I asked for eggs cooked to order and Lucia obliged but I don't think that is the norm so ask her if you want something different. The only slight negative was the dark room and lack of real charm about the accommodation but overall we really enjoyed our stay and Lucia's restaurant recommendation. It rained almost constantly for 3 days which was very unusual. I would have liked this place a lot more had the sun been shining .
