After having Luisa and Mattias, host our unforgettable wedding in the lovely Val D'orcia we can sincelery recommend Il Rigo. The atmosphere that the professional owners and their staff is creating is stunning - from the decorations, to the service level and the kindness they posses. You can not help but feel welcome in this little pocket of tranquility. The food is fresh, home-made, local and tasteful. The location is fantastic, and the rooms are clean and authentically decorated. In total, our experience really showed us the happiness of simplicity, care for the nature and creaticity.

Was there for a week's walking in mid-April 2026. A rustic but very comfortable hotel Food was excellent )altho' the portions are "nouvelle-cuisine" small size, but always enough for me) - the meat (rabbit, wild boar, lamb, etc.) was always very succulent, tender and "melt in your mouth"- the vegetarians among our group were very happy with their non-meat alternatives Breakfast 08:30-10:00/10:30; Evening meal from 19:30 Excellent selection of Tuscan wines (local micro-brewery beers too) TO NOTE: no TVs in room (hence why I knocked 1 star off - as I like to watch TV in the evening to help improve my Italian); plenty of books available in lounges with comfortable chairs & sofas. WIFI - adequate, not high-speed

A beautiful farmhouse in the middle of the hills of Val d’Orcia. A 360 degree view of pure beauty!! A well-kept farmhouse but with the flavor of other times. The restaurant a culinary discovery every night!! P
