We spent there our new year Eve.. The resort is very peaceful, well maintained and with a great view on the Tuscany hills. Highly recommend for family or for friends groups. One flaw is that The coffe machine is actually located outdoor and the coffe isn’t great at all but.

Just spent a gorgeous week here. Swam every morning in the unheated pool, a beautiful setting, reluctant to get out and start the day. Central location for all the recommended cities and towns, albeit so remote that we had to drive everywhere. It's true the residence is only 800m from the nearest village, but that village is hundreds of metres above, not a walk out in the evening for drinks in a local vibrant bar. Things to take: toilet rolls, bin liners, cleaning stuff, extra china and cutlery, washing up liquid and dishwasher tablets, extra coathangers. Things to know: there's no cleaning service, your bed linen and towels have to last your entire stay, you have to pay extra for poolside towels. There's a small library from which to borrow books and a morning croissant delivery. The staff are delightful and helpful. It's tired and in need of a deep clean and more maintenance. A welcome pack of bottled water, milk, cheese and bread would be fantastic - even if it was a service you could pre-order and pay for. We arrived late and there was nothing which was disappointing. The shower head sprayed water everywhere, the drain was blocked and flooded the apartment below, and generally the apartment was dirty. Amazing place, just in need of more love and attention, and some good old fashioned generosity.

Just left after a fabulous 2 week stay with our 16 and 12 year olds. Couldnt have asked for anything better. Lovely relaxed and laid back atmosphere, beautifully kept gardens and idyllic location. Pool is great, especially at 8am when it's all to yourself! And the long drag up the path (15 mins steep climb) is definitely worth it for the cafes, patesseries etc. Will go back.
