Tenuta Di Ricavo

This wonderful hotel were we stayed for more than 25 years during the summer is unfortunately sold. At the website it says that the hotel will re-open in 2024. However nothing is happening and one does not get an answer when contacting them. In the meantime it is 2025.

Stayed here for 3 nights with 3 other couples why on vacation from the US. As mentioned in other reviews, it is out in the middle of nowhere. The grounds appear fairly neglected and there is nothing to walk around and see. Our room was just OK; decor was bland and our bed was two twin beds pushed together. Luckily we had pre-arranged transportation to take us to a cooking class one day and Radda the next day otherwise we would have been held hostage on the grounds with nothing to do. The buffet style breakfast was good but the evening menu was fairly limited. Overall, we were not impressed.

My husband and I were recently at this charming hotel. Our accmodations were spacious, well outfitted and immaculate. We had dinner there each night of our stay. There was a chef's menu that changed daily in addition to their regular menu. The food was so incredibly good. Alessandro was very knowledgeable about the wines. We enjoyed our stay immensely. The whole staff was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend a visit to this property.
