Fattoria Pratale

We stayed at the main location, Pratale 1. We had an apartment for 6 people, three rooms with two bathrooms in it, which was good for us. The surroundings were amazing, quiet & relaxing - typical Tuscany views. The pools looked good even though we couldn't use them because of the weather. The location is close to cities like Florence, and San Gimignano, and there are restaurants close by. We would gladly give this property 5 stars if the following things wouldn't be a problem for us, so please read before you decide to come here. The property is extremely basic, starting from the kitchen. The kitchen is not equipped, you will not find any basic things like oil, salt, sugar, electric pot, or coffee/tea. The kitchen equipment was dirty, and we couldn't even use glasses for water, so we had to buy them in a supermarket. Bed and pillows were very hard, the blankets in all of our rooms smelled really bad and they looked like they hadn't been washed for ages. It also got pretty cold at night, and the heating wasn't working yet, we were told that there wouldn't be heating until November. Water in the bathroom was mostly cold, hot water for a minute then cold water, so we couldn't get a proper wash there! There was a small 10 ml shampoo, and imagine that amount for 6 people - hilarious!! The housekeeper had to give us her shampoo because they were out of it. The inside of the apartment doesn't reflect the outside, and the minute that you step your foot inside, you will get an empty feeling that would ruin your experience! The things mentioned above are basic things that every hotel, apartment, or vacation rental should have, so if they would take care of each thing that had a negative impact on our stay, they would manage to be the best in the area, since the location & views they have are amazing.Show less

Don't go to Fattorie Pratale, unless you want to experience living as a peasant in the 17th century. No WIFI in the rooms. The property is extremely poor indoors. No privacy, doors don't lock. Dirty and does not meet the standards for a normal living condition. Blankets were dirty and smelled bad. No heating, and we weren't informed about the heating problem beforehand (we were informed at the property). My pregnant wife had to cover with 2 dirty blankets at night. Shower has no consistent hot water, so you'll get a freezing heart-attack surprise every 10 seconds :) TV is very big for 17th century, a complete joke. Bad gravel road, don't go with a small car or you'll damage it. Free Italian Language course, you'll get to learn Italian language with the non-English-speaking Receptionist because for sure she doesn't speak a single word (not even a "yes") in English. You can't complain to her. :) One and only thing that was positive are the views, but most of villas in Tuscany has them. Avoid Fattoria Pratale at any cost.

The road to arrive at the Hotel was terrible, it seems everyone needed to take an 4x4 Jeep, We arrived late night, the reception was off, they just left the key at the dor, internet was not working, inside the apartment was very cold, the window didn’t closed very well, the doors were badly damaged, the shower temperature was not working properly, there was no shampoo, Terrible experience, not worth the money.
