Tenuta Moriano

Great stay with a wine tasting, booked through the Wonderbox gift set. A note of merit for the establishment, one of the few that accepts reservations with such a gift set without particular limitations (or at least reasonable ones, and honestly communicated). Spacious apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, outdoor space, and a pool that unfortunately we could not use due to bad weather. We were able to take a "private" tour of the winery, learn more about the wines, and enjoyed an excellent tasting with explanations of their products. The website is also available, from which we will definitely order in the future. Welcoming and helpful staff, good breakfast included. Recommended!

Tenuta Moriano immediately seemed "home". This estate, immersed in the green hills of Chianti (and there is so much green!) is an oasis of serenity. Our apartment was spacious (two bedrooms with top mattresses and comfortable pillows and two bathrooms, large kitchen, patio with table and chairs overlooking the pool). The complex is large but the space is substantially occupied by vegetation. The apartments are surrounded by greenery and the air is clean. A short distance away (from 30 minutes to an hour) you can see places like Volterra, San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena and Colle di Val D'elsa. The plus of this place is not just one, there are many: the pool surrounded by trees, roses and cypresses, the serene atmosphere, the cleanliness and the fact that there is no chaos (although this always depends on people's education). Breakfast is served in the reception area, on a beautiful terrace. We had included it in the price and we do not usually eat much but there was everything you need even if in basic form, in short, a bit 'at home, between sweet and savory. A simple buffet, without much choice, but ok. We then appreciated the kindness of the staff (we had a big problem with the car and were helped with the smile). Thanks to Natalia and Greta, two very sweet and helpful women who show how simplicity and empathy can make a difference in a holiday experience. The estate - which produces excellent wine at very honest prices - also organizes gastronomic evenings and cooking classes on request, proposing but without pressing or being insistent. We left with a bit of magone because we had a really good time. In the rooms the ventilation system is ceiling blades, an option that I approve as greener than the air conditioning (which basically makes us feel good but throws out additional hot air...) so you sleep naked and without a sheet :) [at least the last week of June went like this). The windows are equipped with fixed mosquito nets, another great thing. There are also well-kept fireplaces for grilling. I recommend it, especially to families but also to couples who want to get away from the city. Prices are fair and average. I personally recommend booking directly by calling them. Thank you! We LOVE Tenuta Moriano! They have a beautiful property, large, well-careful chalets, pool. The typical entrance of Tuscany already draws attention. The owner was a love, indicated nearby restaurants, supermarkets, gave assistance, talked to come back in the summer when they have tour of the vineyards with tasting, cooking classes, etc... The diary did not include coffee, but has the possibility of breakfast paid separately when requested, and comes in a basket with a lot of things, which can even eat from the outside... As it is a cottage, has a kitchen, so it is worth cooking too (this is what we did). Need a car to get there and elsewhere! Despite going in the winter and having been cold (even with heating system, we did not find enough), the experience was amazing! I stayed only one night but I wish I had stayed longer!
