Our stay at this hotel was very disappointing from start to finish. Check-in was incredibly slow and frustrating, setting the tone for the rest of the visit. Throughout our stay, the front desk staff were inattentive, unfriendly, and constantly made us feel like an inconvenience. The room was small with a single tiny window that let in very little light. To make matters worse, the thermostat seemed to be centrally controlled and could not be set below 24°C. Parking was another issue—I checked three times a day and there was never a free spot available, so we were forced to pay for parking elsewhere. Breakfast was a strange setup as well. For the sweet options, you aren't allowed to select items yourself; you have to point out what you want and are handed rationed portions. I avoided the savoury section entirely because there was no menu provided. The tipping point occurred when our daughter unexpectedly joined us. Despite not using any extra bedding, towels, or consuming extra breakfast, the hotel charged us an additional €80 per night (€240 total). The situation was handled poorly and felt completely unreasonable and overpriced for what was provided. As soon as we found out, we checked out and moved to a much friendlier hotel just up the road. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

My wife and I were there in the second half of July and, in short, we had a really good time. You can notice the family management which, in various ways, makes the stay very natural and welcoming. Starting from the willingness to book even on dates not necessarily tied to a specific arrival/departure day (for us it was fundamental), but above all for the excellent, very balanced cuisine (not endless choices but varied and prepared with care), the cleanliness, and the comfort of the rooms. Needless to emphasize the convenience of the location: proximity to the center without, however, being disturbed by it. Definitely recommended for a simple and quiet vacation.

We stayed at Hotel Villa Barsanti with our family from July 4 to 11, 2026, choosing the half-board package, and we were fully satisfied. The hotel is well-maintained, very clean, and located in an ideal position, just a few steps from the sea. A special praise goes to the entire staff, always kind, smiling, and helpful. The breakfast is rich and varied, and the dinners were excellent, with tasty fish dishes presented with care. It was a relaxing and pleasant vacation in every aspect. We will definitely return!
