Awful, gross, a shame. No reception. The owner reminded me that I would have needed to let her know of our arrival time prior to arrival, which a real hotel would never do. Mold in the shower. Wifi was not working. Air conditioning was not working. There was such a strong odour in the bedroom that I barely managed to sleep : the smell was unbearable. Breakfast was stale bread in a plastic box. And we paid a very overpriced 75€ for two people. You can get a very decent agriturismo in nice places in Italy for less and a 3-star hotel in most cities (including Pisa) for this price... This is not a hotel. This is a run-down private house, under a highway bridge, which a very clever owner sells as an overpriced hotel on Hotels.com, just because it is very close to the airport. This place would never sell on AirBnB, old, dirty and smelly as it is, but it does on Hotels.com and others. Yes, it is close to the airport. But so is most of Pisa : the central station is a 20 minute walk to the airport. This type of shameless accomodation business is a by-product of low-cost airlines, their choice of secondary airports and cheapest (i.e. very early) departure timeslots. Such indecent offerings have popped up in other Italian towns with secondary airports. Websites like Hotels.com should not support such rip-off. And the Italian tourism authorities should watch out.

First of all this is not a hotel and secondly there is no breakfast served (unless you count two open cerial boxes and vacuum packed buns with expiration date in 2018 as a breakfast, we did not even touch them). The room prices are at the same level as in true hotels and better quality B&Bs. The only good issue was the distance from the airport (we walked from the terminal in 10 mins).

This is not a Hotel! Do Not Book with A Casa Doina Airport2. How I wished I had read the reviews. If you do not get there before they lock up, for instance, your flight has been heavily delayed due to strikes, then you will be locked out, ringing the bell or telephoning all the numbers on the wall has no impact whatsoever. In fact the owner complained that I had woken the neighbours up. I was a lone woman, ripped off by the taxi driver & left in the street, I had to walk back to the airport where I spent sitting on the concrete. The owners are greedy and rude, they quite happily took all of my money which I had to pay up front. Andrew C said Disaster, wished I had read this before I booked!!!
