Family Beach Village Regina del Mare

We stayed at this property for a week, but the overall experience was unfortunately far below the expectations for a hotel declared as 4 stars. Rooms and cleanliness: The property is definitely dated and the rooms do not offer the minimum comforts of the category. Although the room was overall clean, we encountered major structural problems: the air conditioner was leaking water right over the bed, causing drops to fall directly on our faces during the night. Furthermore, there was not even a drying rack to hang a couple of swimsuits or towels to dry. Very serious note: the crib/cot provided for our newborn was dirty, with a mattress that had obvious previous stains of vomit or urine. Dining and service: The quality of the food was definitely below expectations, with repetitive offerings, pasta that was constantly overcooked, and very disappointing fish dishes. Table service was barely present. Beach and pool: The sea was unfortunately often dirty, while the beach itself is well-kept and maintained. A positive aspect: there is a walkway for people with mobility issues and/or strollers. A negative note is the total absence of dedicated restrooms on the beach. The pool was another major sore point: very dirty, with yellowing present all along the edge; in an entire week-long stay, we never saw anyone take care of its cleaning. Unspecified extra costs: During the booking phase, it was not clearly specified that the on-site parking was for a fee, at an additional cost of 10 dollars per day. Strengths: The only real positive note of the vacation was the entertainment: the staff were always present, helpful, and very good. Overall, we do not feel we can recommend this property, which needs significant maintenance, cleaning, and restaurant management improvements.

Like every year, we spent a few days at the Resort at the end of August/beginning of September, appreciating as always the spaces, the pool, the beach, and the beach volleyball courts. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The Manager, Michele, confirmed himself to be a very kind person and ready to find solutions, as was Luna, the head entertainer, who is also good as a beach volleyball player. The buffet proved to be rich for both breakfast and lunch and dinner. Two suggestions: it would be appropriate to use dispensers in the bathrooms (it is still a 4-star hotel and it avoids a lot of plastic) and to find a way to place bathrooms near the umbrellas because where they are now (near the pool) they are too far for those who want to spend the day at the beach.

Good impression right from the arrival. Well-maintained property and spacious rooms. The cuisine is excellent. The staff is very courteous. The AnimaIone team, a well-assorted, competent, and engaging group. We also made special friends.🤩. A suggestion: renovate the beach service.
