Agritourism Tenuta Armaiolo

"Special adventure! I participated in a truffle hunt with the guys from Tenuta Armaiolo, a walk in nature with Viola 🐾and Ronnie🐾 who found a lot of truffles that we ate for lunch! Delicious food and a stunning location! I highly recommend this experience to spend a day in complete serenity, with good food and a lot of Italian culture!"

I stayed for 3 days (2 nights) at the mill building, an ancient building renovated with skill. In the apartment a living room with huge fireplace, table for 8 and double bedrooms with single loft bed and a single room in the attic which is accessed by a narrow and steep staircase. Below the apartments the oil mill, taking a tour around the building and at the back there are machinery and from the windows you can see other equipment on the ground floor, the pool was closed, breakfast is at the main building / reception. The Armaiolo is accessed by dirt roads, get ready for a few minutes off road, all around the woods of the estate.

The farm consists of three structures located about 1km of rough dirt roads from each other (something not indicated in the description): one where to sleep, one where to have breakfast and one that houses the pool. Need to move with a car suitable for the terrain (4x4/suv/off-road) if you do not want to risk damage. The rooms are really very warm being without insulation and air conditioners, there are only fans. The bathtub was without the cap and therefore usable only as a shower. If you want to use the kitchen in the apartment you have to pay an extra cost. The discreet breakfast, some homemade desserts and local cold cuts, present packaged products, lacked a machine to make coffee / cappuccino, there were jugs with coffee already made, milk and juices, narrow spaces, beautiful outdoor veranda where to sit. Nice swimming pool surrounded by a beautiful lawn and olive trees, with deck chairs, sun loungers and gazebo but, given the proximity to the road, you could hear a lot of the noise of passing cars.
