La Pietra Piana Restaurant / Bed & Breakfast

Great location in the Tuscan countryside, about 10 minutes from the mall and the station of Incisa and Rignano x go to Florence. The structure is also nice, great idea of the organic pool without chlorine etc., unfortunately the negative note that the structure, (excluding the restaurant that I do not know if it is a different property from the b & B, where in the evening there are waitress and cook) is managed by a single person I think about 55/60 years that can not keep up with everything for which they suffer cleaning, room renovation, swimming pool and various maintenance. Little choice for breakfast where salty practically there is only sliced cheese, little choice of jams and completely absent classic white yogurt and sparkling water. Negative note finally also x the parking that cmq is outside the structure insufficient x accommodate the cars of the guests of the 6 rooms, in fact if you do not have large cars type suv bene that you go you can park 4 cars, the other two guests are forced to find a place very far from the structure since the main road has no parking on the sides. Too bad because with a little more foresight it could be considerably better.

Also very nice structure, too bad the hospitality is not at home. In the room everything was ok, cleanliness, antique furnishings and independent heating, but in the morning at breakfast... a thrilling experience, in every sense. Heating off in the room, early January, also very "high" place I can imagine the cold, an icebox. With us a 6 year old child... nothing but a holiday, we were shivering from the cold. Almost all packaged products, many of which EXPIRED for months, fresh desserts, two stale and smelly croissants and a few stale filled biscuits too. Juice in a jug practically tasteless now, and the only savory variant, slices of pan bauletto and cheese for toast, without even a single slice of ham, salami or anything else... I mean, we are in Tuscany... I don't know if you know what I mean. We are frequent travelers, first similar experience in Italy and abroad. We were the only 3 guests in the facility, it wouldn't have cost many euros to make things just decent with a few fresh croissants and a couple of bags of cold cuts, a few eggs... The concept of hosting is just missing. Obviously the next day we brought something up to the room to at least avoid the icebox. I won't even comment on the coffee. What can I say, if we normally treat each other better at home, for us it's NO.

Very nice structure on the outside but with various critical issues: the car park accommodates a maximum of two cars and is located on a dangerous road with no pavement. At night you risk being run over. The pool is not a swimming pool but, they say, a biologist. Slimy and full of bugs. The room was clean but very hot with totally absent air conditioning. The catering is a disaster from the first to the coffee. Bland dishes arrived late. Wrong orders, entire commands forgotten. Coffee that looks like dishwashing. In short, a real flop
