Hotel San Michele

We had a fantastic time at Hotel San Michele! The location is lovely and relaxing in a nice quiet area but with a short walk into town (25 mins). The pool is lovely and clean with nice views and not overloaded with guests so you feel you can totally switch off and relax. There are plenty of loungers and chairs and you can order from the bar during the day. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel had friendly staff. The breakfast selection was great and with a pleasant outdoor area to eat. We would definitely come back!

I must have spent hours looking for a place to stay in Tuscany that matched our very specific criteria. We wanted somewhere that felt rural, with great views, but that was also walking distance to a town so we could go out for dinner and drinks without having to take the car. I found Hotel San Michelle and it was perfect for what we needed. My only hesitations were that its just off a main road and its only 3 stars. We needn't have worried. The road access meant it's a safe walk into San Gimignano and when you are by the pool you cant see or hear the road. And despite us usually staying in more luxurious places it had everything we needed. The room was a decent size with great views and aircon that worked (needed as it was 35 degrees). The bed was comfy and the shower hot and had a decent pressure. The pool area was lovely and very clean. Breakfast had a good choice and there is a bar for drinks. Plenty of parking too. The ladies who run the hotel were very friendly and helpful. Very glad we picked to stay here.

This is truly an amazing place: quiet and peaceful, very hospitable, immaculately clean and comfortable as well as conveniently located. And the views are stunning! We strongly recommend it, Katarzyna & Piotr
