The staff was very friendly right from the start. The rooms are very special, in ours there were several paintings and antique furniture. There are also several common rooms very well maintained. Finally, the garden is the pride of the place.

Excellent location and a great little flat, but the lack of communication destroyed it for us. We knew we’d be late, and rang a day ahead to inform and make sure they knew. Unfortunately the young man who answered the phone had no interest, nrither in his guests or job.
We arrived late and tried to ring again from the road, and send an e-mail, but no respons. We stood outside the locked door and rang the emergency cell phone number that we could see on a sign in the reception. Straight to voice mail. We could see the little basket with an envelope with our name on on the reception desk, behind the locked door!!
Luckily the lovely family restaurant next door was still open and the friendly owner knew the code for the front door and let us in!! Slept in a nice bed that night, not in our car.
Next morning we told the lady at the reception and she said she was sorry. Oh well, so are we. Customer service at its worse.

My wife and I stayed here, and it was highly disappointing. To start off, there is no full time reception, and the hours that there is a receptionist is very odd. For example: the morning of our departure we were trying to call a taxi, and couldn’t figure out how to dial out. It would have been so helpful if someone was there in case we needed help (like we did). Thankfully we met a taxi driver that called one for us, but almost didn’t make our train. The bed was so hard it actually hurt to lay on. I slept terribly because I was in physical pain laying on my side. Or back. It was awful. There was zero silverware/cups/plates or any other accommodations that you would expect a b&b to have. We couldn’t even drink a bottle of wine in our room that we purchased bc there were no glasses. The “breakfast” that we paid for that was apart of our booking price was TERRIBLE. It was 2 burnt croissants, 2 yogurts (still in the carton) with no fruit or anything. There was also some random crackers that looked identical to saltines. Not sure what we were suppose to do with those. The orange juice tasted old, and we couldn’t drink it. Needless to say we had to go to get breakfast somewhere else.
I highly suggest not staying here if you want to sleep at night, and enjoy your stay. The location wasn’t bad, so would be great for someone who doesn’t care about a decent bed to sleep in, or a shower big enough to even use. Will never recommend this to anyone traveling to Siena.
