Hotel Derna

Hotel Derna 3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I would like to know how they are assigned... The room was very small and with simple furnishings but sufficient for sleeping. Nobody was expecting luxury! What we are contesting is the smell we encountered upon entering and the bed and bath linens with a very strong odor (probably disinfected, but truly unbearable). The worst thing, however, was the lack of cleanliness, mainly in the bathroom. After our complaints, an extraordinary cleaning was done, but it was not enough to eliminate signs of mold and limescale (hoping it was just that) from the shower and toilet. Above the mirror, there was dust that had been settling for at least 3 months. At the exit of the shower, instead of the classic terry cloth mat, there was a dark woven mat (approx. 30x40cm) on which it was unthinkable to step with bare feet. The monitor - it is not possible to consider it a television - attached up high was transmitting images that were predominantly red. The air conditioner, if left on, emitted a constant gurgling sound, so it was necessary to turn it off in order to sleep. In the partially open hallways, pigeons and their droppings were very frequent, as was dust and a lack of cleanliness. For breakfast, the plates provided are plastic. The property is certainly very dated and no longer dignified without proper maintenance. Everything is documented by photographs.

I went to 'hotel Derna with a friend of mine, we stayed 5 days, everything was perfect, the sympathy of Mr. and Mrs. Andrea Vittorio and also Ms Franca make you feel at home. Available in every request. Hotel is located in a convenient strategic point to visit the most interesting destinations in Tuscany. Thank you and we will definitely see you again!!!!!

Good service but cleanliness.... I found someone's hair in the shower and sand, when I showered, the bathroom flooded. and strange smells were coming from the limestone toilet in the shower and the sink......... Otherwise quite kind was the staff
