Hotel San Lino

The hotel is a little jewel inside the Walls of Volterra. It has private covered parking just before the hotel on the left when entering from Porta San Francesco, so it is recommended to park before checking in. The rooms are clean and spacious. To break up the visit and treat ourselves to an afternoon break, we relaxed by the pool where you can use a Bar. The staff is kind and helpful and recommended restaurants for dinner and lunch. We only stayed one night but I recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Volterra and the surrounding area.

Hotel in a very convenient location for visiting the historic center of Volterra. For the rest, I do not feel I can consider it a 4-star hotel. I am surprised by the reviews about the breakfast. For the first time in my experience as a tourist, I had to go to a bar to drink a cappuccino that could be called such and eat a croissant that smelled like a croissant. At the hotel, I found only the yogurt to be good. Therefore, a negative rating, also due to the lack of attention when something ran out (yogurt or cutlery) and it had to be requested. Tablecloth and mini paper napkins. Poor quality complimentary toiletries (body lotion full of paraffin and cleansers with SLS).

Well-located for visiting the old town, this hotel has paid parking as well as a pool, which is appreciated after sightseeing. The breakfast is very decent and the service is top-notch. I highly recommend this hotel.
