Mini Resort Fontana Maggiore

We stayed in the Pearla apartment for a week in May 2018. What a wonderful experience. The room sits on the top floor, with a lift to take you there, and was very clean and roomy. Had everything you need for a long stay. The apartment also comes with a little balcony and we spent many nights sipping wine and enjoying the wonderful views. Location is right in the middle of town, so close to restaurants, shopping, and all transportation. The host was extremely attentive and always available. This is a great home base if you plan on using Perugia to tour other Umbrian towns.

My wife and I had stayed in the Argento apartment in 2011 when she was pregnant, and we had a fantastic time then. We decided then that we would come back with our daughter. So it was with great anticipation that we returned in 2017 with our now 6 year old daughter, this time staying in the Perla apartment. It did not disappoint. The views from this apartment are truly breathtaking. It has every amenity needed, along with a wonderful balcony where we had drinks and enjoyed the spectacular view. It is also the little things which made our stay comfortable, like the convenience of a washing machine, coffee machine, and great hot water and water pressure, which is sometimes uncommon in Italy. The wifi is very quick and reliable. The apartment is right in the middle of the historical centre of Perugia and close to great bars and cafes. My wife, who is a coeliac, enjoyed greatly the Lescrepe cafe not far away which has delicious gluten free crepes, both sweet and savoury including a Nutella and smartie crepe which we won't forget. The host Eva and her mother Anna were extremely responsive and very helpful with any questions we had. This is really a wonderful place to stay in an enchanting town which has retained so much of its medieval flavour.

The one-bedroom apartment is elegantly furnished, and supplied with everything a traveller might need, including a washing machine, iron and board, dishwasher, and more.
