Palazzo Dragoni is a truly fascinating property, rich in history and with a unique atmosphere. The rooms are well-maintained and very beautiful, with an attention to detail that is immediately noticeable. Enchanting view of Spoleto from the room!
The breakfast is a highlight.
The location is excellent for visiting Spoleto and enjoying the city on foot. A pleasant stay and certainly one to remember.

Palazzo Dragoni is one of those places where the stay becomes part of the trip.
A wonderful historic residence in the heart of Spoleto's historic center, in a truly strategic position: a few steps from the city's main points of interest and also very convenient for reaching alternative mobility systems, including escalators and elevators.
We stayed in a splendid Deluxe room with three Roman-style balconies overlooking Spoleto and a view that, by itself, is worth the stay. A room that also carries with it a small piece of recent history: over the years it has hosted personalities such as Lucio Dalla, Franco Battiato, Oliver Stone, José Carreras, and many others.
But what won us over about Palazzo Dragoni goes far beyond the beauty of the rooms, which are magnificently preserved and maintained.
Here, hospitality still has an authentic meaning. The owners have an almost rare ability to take care of their guests, making them feel truly at the center of attention, without ever seeming contrived. The same care is found in all the staff, who are very kind and very attentive to details.
And then there is the breakfast: sumptuous, varied, and prepared with great care, served in a splendid panoramic room that offers a beautiful view of the city. A particularly evocative setting, also chosen as a location for the television series “Don Matteo.”
We particularly loved the homemade cakes and jams — the pear and ginger one was unforgettable! One of those breakfasts for which it is worth allowing yourself a little more time in the morning.
For those arriving by car, the property also has a few on-street parking spaces in the immediate vicinity, limited in number and therefore subject to availability: a non-negligible convenience considering the location in the heart of Spoleto's historic center.
Finally, a special thanks to the very kind owner, who gave us something we did not expect: he accompanied us to discover the -1 and -2 floors of the building, areas normally not open to the public.
Going down there was almost like traveling through time. Among walls, layers, and ancient evidence, we discovered a Spoleto hidden beneath the Spoleto we walk through today. A small journey into the city's history that left us, literally, speechless.
Palazzo Dragoni is not simply a beautiful place to sleep in Spoleto. It is a residence that preserves stories, and above all, still knows how to tell them through the way it welcomes those who cross its door.
And perhaps this is the form of luxury we appreciate the most: feeling like guests, not customers.

Splendid building in the historic center of Spoleto, a stone's throw from the cathedral. Kindness and helpfulness of yesteryear in this spectacular historic property. Everything perfect, the room, the breakfast, the service.
