Hotel Sportsman

This is a lovely hotel halfway between Garda and Bardolino. We were on a B&B basis and found the breakfasts to be excellent. A good choice of hams, cheeses and fresh omelettes made for you if you want them. An A la Carte menu was available in the evening should you wish to dine at the hotel. I would have expected the choices to have changed over the 10 nights of our stay but they remained the same. Maybe this is one area for improvement. Fabulously clean and very quiet hotel.

Hotel discovered by chance, during a web search. For us, excellent vacation. Well-maintained property, excellent food, helpful and always smiling staff. Recommended.

Great location at north end of Bardolina & near to Garda town so ideal for most ferry journies. Great staff at the hotel & excellent food as we were on half board. Definitely a 4 star hotel & like so many Italian hotels it felt family owned , perhaps a bit dated but still had some style with some lovely touches. Not big but adequate. Had most facilities you would expect though there needed to be more room around the swimming pool, whilst the gym didn't open until 8.30am & was small. Our room was a good size though & the bed was very comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed the hotel & the staff & would not hesitate in returning if we were to visit Lake Garda again as we probably will do.
