Hotel Vela d'Oro

A hotel of two faces, a pool with a superlative park, clean rooms, and very kind staff. The breakfast needs a complete overhaul, as it is not in line with the hotel's star rating (at least a couple of cakes/tarts should have been present). Located facing the lake, it has a stupendous view. Dated rooms.

Had a comfortable room round the back of the hotel. Looks like some rooms would have a great view of the lake. Buffet hotel breakfast was ok - but tinned fruit/ packet food - not much fresh. Nice pool/gardens in hotel? next door which we were allowed access.

The extension of the hotel has renovated rooms. Everything is very nice and clean. Air conditioning is available. Breakfast is excellent, with a view of Lake Garda. Very friendly staff. It was a recommendation from a friend. We will come back.
