Grand Savoia

The staff really made this hotel experience exceptional. From the cleaning staff to parking attendants to the front desk/concierge, just the best I’ve seen.

Unfortunately, our stay at Grand Hotel Savoia was quite disappointing, especially given the standard and price of the hotel. Our room was over 80°F and had no air conditioning, making it extremely difficult to sleep. When we raised the issue with the hotel, we were essentially told to leave the window open. Unfortunately, our room faced a noisy road, so leaving the window open was not a realistic solution and made it difficult to get any sleep. The hot tub was also cold, which was particularly disappointing given that this was one of the amenities we expected to enjoy during our stay. We also had an unpleasant experience at breakfast when we asked for additional service and the attendant rolled her eyes at us. That kind of response is not what we would expect from a hotel of this caliber. That said, Vita at the bar was fantastic. She was extremely hospitable, friendly, and helpful, and she gave us an excellent recommendation for dinner. She was a bright spot in an otherwise disappointing stay. Given the room temperature, lack of a workable solution from the hotel, the cold hot tub, and the overall experience, we believe some compensation or adjustment to the cost of our stay would be appropriate. Overall, there were certainly some wonderful employees, but the problems with the room and amenities significantly impacted our stay and fell well short of what we expected from Grand Hotel Savoia.

The hotel and its staff are at the customer's service, who is pampered and sometimes spoiled. An experience worthy of enchanting Cortina.
