A genuine tourist trap if you stop for a coffee on the terrace. Three espressos and a Skiwasser cost us €20. What really bothered me was that they put potato chips and olives on our table without us ordering them or telling us they would be charged. We didn’t even eat them, yet they still appeared on the bill. I felt deliberately tricked by this. The service was unfriendly as well; apparently our order wasn’t substantial enough for them. The toilets were old and filthy too. Avoid this place. There are plenty of better and more honest options in Cortina.

Charming old hotel with a lot of character. I would give that part 5 stars. Safety and security 1 star. Old skeleton key locks are so hard to lock and unlock, you would never get out of your room if there was a fire. Had to leave our room unlocked and put a suitcase against the door. Left room locked while we were out of the room. Returned several hours later, housekeeper left room doors open and unlocked. Hotel food fair. Views amazing.

The rooms were beautiful and the staff was fantastic. They were very helpful throughout the stay and breakfast was lovely. Our only gripe was with how central the hotel is, it was incredibly loud at night. There is a bar next to the hotel that is open until 2am and then the garbage was picked up around 4:30am. With it being in the summer, windows were open to cool off the rooms and we did not sleep well. It’s something that should have been expected when we saw the location but a good heads up. My other critique is that the website lists pool/spa as an amenity but we learned upon arrival that you can use those facilities at another hotel for an additional cost so I don’t think that is advertised appropriately.
