Ac Vicenza

Warm welcome at reception, very nice room, everything in order. Restaurant was a welcome surprise, fair prices with regional specialties.

I feel bad leaving this review, because the receptionist who greeted me (and checked me out) was lovely. However, this hotel was a mistake. It is out of town, which I knew when booking. But I didn’t realise just how bad this location is. An AC HOTEL by Marriott should never be in a location like this. The hotel was out in what seemed like a super industrial estate. There were no paths around, so get around the area you had to walk on the road. There were no restaurants or any amenities around the hotel, and its restaurant was “open” but was really closed. It was weird, lights off but I could order from an extremely limited menu. I ordered a pizza with a side of french fries. I was asked if I would like the French fries at the same time as the pizza… I said yes. They then served me the pizza with the French fries on it. They found this funny. I did not. If you just need a head in a bed, and you’re driving, then this will do. If not, it won’t.

The location of the hotel is not engaging but it is easy to reach both the historic center and the highway and has free parking right in front. The room was very nice and well insulated. This hotel is good for one night or two max.
