Hotel San Marco

Even though I did not stay at the hotel, I still had the pleasure of experiencing the kindness of the management and the owners. Three friends had booked a triple room for two nights. Around noon on the second day, I went up to their room to wait for them while they finished getting ready, and I took the opportunity to wash my face, all of which lasted a maximum of 15 minutes. Having done that, I then went down the stairs and headed for the exit, but... I was called out by the owner, who stopped me and asked me to provide an ID and... to leave her 20 euros for having gone up to my friends' room, a practice that was apparently strictly prohibited. My calm attempts to explain that I was not aware of this "internal rule" (ignorance I would say is understandable since the "rule" had not been explicitly stated through any type of sign/communication/notification), which I would have obviously respected otherwise, were of no use. Indeed! The aforementioned attempts led to an escalation in the tone of the owner, who was joined by the owner and daughter to support her. Despite the numerical superiority, I did not give up, continuing to present my reasons. Clearly upset by their failure to extort the infamous 20 euros from me, they threatened to call the police, to whom they would even provide the surveillance tapes, in which I would have been "caught" doing something shady on the upper floors, and in their eyes, I was absolutely classifiable as a "thief." Neither more nor less. All while physically positioning themselves in front of the exit to prevent me from leaving. At this point, every hope of obtaining something good from that conversation (like, I don't know, reasoning, a compromise, a handshake, and friends as before—calm down, it was just a misunderstanding) was irretrievably lost, so I did the only thing possible... I dodged the owners' blockade at the exit and walked away. Not satisfied and clearly upset, the three also blocked my friends, who asked me to return and leave the 20 euros to avoid ruining the day. So I did. Even now, I do not understand whether the intent was deterrence (for whom, then?) or rather to get 20 euros (which, by the way, were arbitrarily defined at the moment). But it matters little. I will not dwell on rooms and bathrooms, which in my opinion are over budget compared to the quality, as there are already enough reviews on this. Instead, I will focus on the absolutely unprofessional, even threatening, and completely indifferent behavior towards my well-being (a potential future customer, who I obviously will never become) and that of my friends, who were supposed to spend another night there. So I would conclude with: do you want to spend a serene and peaceful vacation in Jesolo? Great idea! But this is not your accommodation! Hello

Truly a splendid accommodation. Excellent value for money, and the hotel owners are very kind and professional people. The bed was very comfortable, and the wall of the room was adorned with two beautiful paintings. The hotel is located just a few meters from the main street, which is full of bars, shops, and excellent restaurants, and at the same time, there is no noise. The beach is right there attached. This hotel also pays great attention to care and cleanliness. I had a truly beautiful, relaxing, and comfortable vacation, and I will definitely return. If you are looking for accommodation in Jesolo, I highly recommend it. Christian
