Hotel Sirenetta

A completely fantastic hotel that is suitable for both families with children and couples. Sovereign pool, exquisite food (we had half board) and very nice staff. We have returned over many years (more than 20!) both when we had small children, teenagers, and grandchildren. Always as satisfied!

Excellent hotel, all staff very kind and helpful! Very comfortable! Highly recommended

Positive aspects Staff always extremely kind, helpful and professional. The service in the dining room was impeccable and the food was truly excellent, varied and of high quality. The pools are aesthetically very beautiful and the property, overall, has potential. Negative aspects Unfortunately, for a 4-star hotel, we expected a decidedly higher quality. The Superior room turned out to be a very simple room. The double bed was made up of two single beds pushed together and, for the children, there was a sofa that converted into a bunk bed. The lower bed, however, remains practically on the floor, a solution that we found not very comfortable for a property of this category. From the very first day, the toilet seat came off, the shower was old and damaged, and the air conditioning, even when set to the maximum, cooled very little and emitted a continuous and annoying noise. Another aspect that surprised us was the room access system. Instead of the classic magnetic card, a heavy key with an equally bulky numbered keychain is still provided. Furthermore, to activate the electricity in the room, it was necessary to insert a small connector attached to the key into a special slot, similar to a headphone jack. It is a system that we found rather dated and impractical, especially for a 4-star hotel. The common areas also need more maintenance. The lobby sofas were so worn that, when sitting down, pieces of the faux leather upholstery would stick to our clothes. The pools are nice, but the maintenance leaves something to be desired. On the hotel website, the pool dedicated to children is described as being enhanced by a slide and a charming waterfall. Throughout our entire stay, however, the waterfall was never in operation, and we were therefore unable to use one of the advertised attractions. Furthermore, the flooring around the pools turned out to be very slippery, especially in an area frequented by children. There was also a free hot tub, but to be able to use it, it was necessary to request a token at the bar each time, which was distributed very sparingly, making the service impractical and decidedly less usable than one would expect. Another negative note concerns the poolside lounge chairs. On the website, it is possible to select the \"poolside lounge chair\" option only once at a cost of 70 euros, without the possibility of adding others during the booking. Traveling as a party of four, I assumed that it was a booking for the spot for the room or that, at least, the method was explained more clearly. Only at check-in did I discover that the cost referred to each individual sunbed, with the consequence of having to pay 140 euros for two sunbeds. It would be appropriate to make this information much clearer to avoid misunderstandings. Overall, I believe that the facility needs greater maintenance and more transparent communication regarding some services to truly be up to the four stars declared. Accustomed to the standards of 4-star hotels in Switzerland, I expected a decidedly higher level of quality.
