Stayed here when flying out of Venice at 11:45am the next day. Chose due to location. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English. We stayed in room 30 which was toward the rear. The room is small but clean, comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. The reception asked if we wanted a taxi booking for the airport which was great. We booked for 9:15 and the taxi was there for 9:10 and cost €20. This most probably had a premium on it but was super convenient. Only 5/10 min drive. Breakfast was pretty basic but was ok. Overall, I would stay again for the airport. VENICE TRIP…… As we arrived at 14:30 the day before, we chose to go the Venice for the evening. (We’d been in Trieste) I’ll be honest, it was a bit of a nightmare so be warned. It didn’t help that there was something going on with mobile payments for taxis later on. We were told the No. 5 bus was best bet and to catch this you have to cross the road and walk back towards Venice for about 100m where there is a post with white boards on. It was hot and couldn’t be bothered to wait so just got an Uber which was €70! I know!, but again it was easy and there in 15 mins. Venice was an experience (reviewed a couple of places) I would research where you want to go before you get there. It’s also not a “pop to Venice for a few hours”. The water bus was good and was €25 each for the day but can be used on the land bus. There are lots of bars/restaurants dotted about. Anything near the big squares is expensive. Away it’s all normal prices. We left the hotel at 4pm and got back at 11pm as getting back took a while.

A very friendly hotel. Ideal located near the airport. Good breakfast.

A particularly unpleasant young woman at the front desk corrected me on my "ciao," indicating that it was not done to address her that way... a room overlooking the very noisy road, bad directions for the bus schedules (our flight was at 6 a.m., we thought about walking there, but the young woman recommended the bus, which didn't come; we finally left on foot and it was only 10m away), in short, industrial breakfast for 130 euros, it's a disaster. It's better to leave Venice and take a bus at the station! Or don't talk to the young woman 😉
