Hotel Autostrada

It’s a deplorable hotel to absolutely avoid 🤮 don’t go there. It's mediocre there is a mess throughout the hotel the rooms are even worse the duvets are sleeping bags not even normal duvets even the TV we see all the wires are in all directions

The only positive notes are the kindness of the staff and the location well served by buses to and from the station and Venice. For the rest, despite my ability to adapt to almost everything, I must say that it is truly a modest structure. I wouldn't go back.

A good sized, clean and comfortable room with killer air con. Rooms are cleaned daily with fresh towels and toiletries each day. The bus direct to central Venice from right outside the hotel, a 15-20 min bus ride. The owner is friendly and very helpful, he was able to offer advice about the best way to get into the city, where to get tickets from etc. A charming and very chatty man, even if I did have to ask him to speak a little slower sometimes. Staff have limited English, but enough to book in customers should you refuse to speak Italian. It is a little rude to expect English to be spoken when abroad in anycase. The bar is fully stocked and well priced, and breakfast consists of great Italian coffee and a selection of pastries that you help yourself to. A really tasty, typical Italian breakfast. Rooms are certainly not overpriced for the Venato, we paid around 300 euros for a week's stay. The beds are comfortable and rooms are pretty quiet. The staff were even able to provide extras such as an iron when asked. We will certainly stay here again should we be in the area.
