Hotel Victoria

Stayed 1 night in a triple room. The welcome and courtesy of all the staff is noticeable from check-in and throughout the stay (breakfast room staff, pool lifeguard, etc.). The room is spacious, as is the bathroom. Comfortable beds and pillows too (and if I say so, as I suffer from pain). Being able to use the pool in the summer is truly a plus: open until 8 PM, the lifeguard at the entrance hands out a towel (1 each), comfortable sun loungers in excellent condition, as are the umbrellas. The breakfast is abundant and varied; as soon as you arrive, you don't even have time to sit down before the waitress comes to ask what you would like to drink (the first cup is therefore served by them), after which you can use the machine to make yourself another cappuccino, or a hot milk). The location is strategic because it is located next to a large shopping center and 5 minutes by car from the city center, with a large parking lot inside the property. If I have to complain about something, it is the absence of a second roll of toilet paper, and since there were three of us and the roll was already started, I had to request a new one at the reception, which, however, promptly provided me with two!

Cleaning: This makes the review very low. It was at best poor. At one point we had to strip the bed and toss it on the floor to get them to switch out the comforter and sheets. And towards the end of our stay, they were using blankets and sheets that were way too small for the bed. The comforter and the sheets covering the mattress kept getting progressively smaller that they wouldn’t even fully cover the mattress. I assume that whoever was working the second half of our stay didn’t know what sheets and comforters to grab for our large bed. Also at week 3 had to ask for a full deep clean because the floor hadn’t been swept or properly mopped in weeks. I shouldn’t have to ask for that. Room: The room we were placed in has a large floor to ceiling glass shower that is directly viewable to whoever is sharing the room right beside the bed. You can literally view the entire shower experience. We spoke to families who were sharing the room with their kids and they had to take shifts to shower for some privacy. The mattress is as hard as a rock. We had a 6 week stay and had to buy our own foam padding and ask for comforters to layer on top of the mattress to make it not unbearable. Also we had to run to the mall and buy pillows because the ones provided are about as thick as a sweatshirt. The bathroom light is on a timer. Don’t sit too long, otherwise you will have to do jumping jacks in the middle of doing your business. AC is hit or miss, it’s either way too cold or way too hot. The thermostat is finicky and at night I would sometimes have to get out of bed turn it way down and then back up to where it was to get it to flip on properly. Value: Couldn’t really say because this was part of a military move and the military picked up the tab. But if I paid for this out of pocket, I’d be very upset. The breakfast was the same thing everyday. Lackluster and nothing to write home about. The pool looked nice from a distance, we never used it though. Laundry is sufficient but expensive. Expect to pay 7€ for a wash and dry per small load of laundry. Atmosphere: Okay at best. The fact we had to walk from one building to another using two flights of stairs and a long corridor to connect to the room, I injured myself and couldn’t do stairs, had to rely on the elevator and that required me having to take two elevators to get to the building and the room itself. Also I’m curious as to why our entire floor hallway had the lights turned off and its dark enough that I had to navigate with my phone flashlight at times. Location: Location is great. Across the street from the bus stop that takes you directly to the Ederle pedestrian gate and train station. The mall next door provides plenty of walking space and restaurant options. The restaurant attached to the hotel is good but the hours are weird. Parking is extremely difficult after 5pm. The lot is not big enough for the amount of rooms. We also witnessed a few times that the same people would park and run over to the bus station and get off the bus and walk to their cars. They could benefit from parking passes for guests.

Wonderful!!! I checked in for for days with my six year old grandson. Normally we frequenct for years another Hotel in Vicenza with a outdoor pool, but now that we have found the Hotel Victoria , Never again will we change ! The Hotel Victoria is absolutely perfect for our needs. The pool was just great !.It was never not once over crowded like the other Hotel.. The entire Staff from the Reception to the Breakfast lounge to the Restaurant to the Life -guards at the pool and the Cleaning Staff are 💯 percent Professional , Friendly , Kind, Great and very prepared at their jobs doing Hospitality, To be Honest my Family Travels a LOT Internationally , we are very much used to excellent 5 Star Hotel Treatment all over the World...When we are in Italy we can never find a Hotel that MAKES a New Customer feel Welcome ... At the Hotel Victoria , which is a Four star Hotel, Everyone Treated us like We were Old Clients. 🤗 , Like They Knew Us For Years. This made our four day little Hoilday so much better . Everyone who is employed There Smiles 🤗 The Breakfast was lovely . 🔝 The only two things that were a bit disappointing was the size of the room... But I learnt from other guest that they have very large rooms at the Hotel. We booked online by booking .com a site I do not like. The Next time I will book directly with the hotel so that they understand my family's level of comfort 🙂 The second thing was the toilet . The button to flush got stuck everytime we used the toilet.. I didn't complain because to be honest everyone at the reception was so kind I didn't want to make a compliant..
