Hotel Galvani

A 10-minute walk from the center with a little stroll by the lake. We were guests in the new building above the old Hotel. All new and wonderful. Suite room with balcony and lake view. Enchanting. We also had dinner at the hotel but we were not satisfied. But we will return

We stayed in the month of July and precisely at the Sky View Garda Lake property which has very beautiful, spacious rooms with a stupendous lake view. The staff in charge of cleaning the rooms was very kind and helpful. The property is equipped with two swimming pools, one on the middle floor with lounge chairs and enough umbrellas, the other on the upper level, also equipped with sunbeds, but with only 3 umbrellas, absolutely not enough for all the guests. There is a bar that looks more like a beach kiosk than a 4-star hotel bar. The opening hours are not at all adequate for a service of a hotel of this level, as during the week it is only open from about 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, while the pool remains open until 8:00 PM. On Saturday and Sunday it opens after 12:30 PM, so the guest cannot use the service, unless they go to the main building, 4 floors down. We asked the bar staff about the possibility of having a dish from the hotel restaurant to eat by the pool, since being gluten intolerant there was nothing that would work, other than sandwiches and piadinas. We were told in an unfriendly and unprofessional manner that "it is out of the question for the waiter to go up and down from the hotel to bring orders for guests." It seems absurd to us that a 4-star property does not provide this service, given that room service is provided anyway. In our opinion, the main building does not have the aesthetic characteristics of a 4-star hotel, nor does the breakfast room. The breakfast is of mediocre quality and always the same every day. The staff is not always kind, with a few exceptions. Poor maintenance of the common restrooms available to guests; some are missing the toilet seat and sometimes they are not clean. The reception staff was cold and not very empathetic, both during check-in and check-out. Overall, the property, apart from the main building, is very beautiful, the view is priceless, and the garden is very well-maintained. We have stayed in 4-star properties several times and therefore think we have enough experience to be able to say that the services should be reviewed and improved, also given the high cost of the stay.

Very great hotel. Mega good location with views of the lake and the city. Nice room. Very delicious breakfast with good coffee. Luxury pool area.
