I adore this hotel. This was our second time staying here. We also stayed here in June 2022. I am pleased to report that it is still my most favourite hotel in the world. It is world-class. The service is fantastic, the staff are so professional and friendly. The rooms are excellent, large, opulently decorated and very classy. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom was large, light and lots of room to put my toiletries and makeup. Some rooms have baths, some showers. I had a bath/shower this time. Spotlessly clean. Excellent. The location is perfect, in my favourite area of Venice. Cross the bridge outside the hotel to the next canal down and you’re on a long “street” full of indie bars and restaurants. I love it so much. I never go anywhere twice, so this means it’s special! The breakfast is also very nice, with plenty of choice. It can be a little expensive to stay in Venice in general, but this hotel is worth the cost. I will be back for a third visit at some point!

Do not book through Trip Advisor whatever you do! My wife and I had to cancel our stay due to a medical issue, and the way this was handled was beyond frustrating. When we called the hotel, they told us to contact TripAdvisor. When we contacted TripAdvisor, they told us to call the hotel. We were sent back and forth with neither side willing to take responsibility or actually help. By the time this endless runaround was over, we had been pushed outside the cancellation window and were told we would receive no credit. It felt less like customer service and more like a tactic to avoid honoring a reasonable request. Medical emergencies happen, and we weren’t asking for anything unreasonable—just some compassion and accountability. Instead, we were met with finger-pointing and zero effort to resolve the situation. This experience has left a terrible impression, and I would think twice before booking here again, especially with TripAdvisor.
