Just arrived and am staying on 4th floor- no elevator btW. My view is a rooftop with clothesline- and our curtains have been taken off windows. Room is hotter and will be awake at 5am - I asked the rude staff member and he said in the fine print it says nothing about curtains. I said the photo of the room has curtains and there is the hooks and hardware on the walls where the curtains were. He said we ordered an “economical room” and it doesn’t say curtains in the fine print. At least the ripped sheer curtain with Duck tape was left……Hoping @booking.com will help us find another stay for the duration of our trip.

We stayed for one night at Al Gazzettino, due to the perfect location between Rialto and Market Square we chose it. It is easy to find and an ideal base to explore Venice. The check in was problem-free. We arrived an hour early but were able to deposit our luggage. Our room was on the 3rd floor. Floor that there is no elevator was known to us and also for us no problem. The room was clean, very spacious and exactly as we expected (identical to the photos of the homepage)

The only positive thing is the location. Otherwise, small room, bathroom idem to the point of having the hair dryer suspended in the room because no place to put it elsewhere. No elevator so when you are on the 3rd or 4th floor, it is not easy to assemble the luggage. Also when you are on the 3rd floor, as was our case, you have the noise of the air conditioning engine of the whole hotel just above your room outside and that triggers constantly, day and night. No one at the reception after 6pm and rarely in the morning on the 3 days we were present.
