Bed & Breakfast Barababao

We just finished a three night stay at this B&B. It’s a great location just off the main walking route. It was clean. The bed was terrible. My wife complained every morning of back pain. The air conditioning was inefficient. The check in/out process was challenging because the owner was having health issues and he didn’t give clear directions to the restaurant manager below. The breakfast is next to the birthplace of Marco Polo and is a croissant and coffee. Overall, just ok.

Good location, nice landlord, helpful staff, and good breakfast, it was all we expected, nothing really bad, and nothing really outstanding, they explained the story of Venice. It’s hard to find, but once you get it is nice, in the middle of Venice. The rooms are good come with a toilet and they didnt have a problem with adding an extra bed.

Location 5-7 minute walk to Rialto Bridge and Grand Canal. Simple decor (think grandma's house!). No lift but only one flight of stairs and very clean, with good sized private bathroom/shower. Has A/C and free wifi. Breakfast was plentiful and varied including cappuccino, yogurt, fresh assorted fruits, breads, cheese, eggs, etc. Luca (proprietor) is a local with extensive knowledge, and is very happy to assist in suggesting restaurants and sights to visit. The Osteria downstairs has very good food at reasonable prices. The seafood soup excellent!! I would stay here again. Thank you Luca!
