Haven Hostel Giudecca

The place is well maintained and clean but not located on the mainland. You have to take a vaporatti to reach there. Rent per night is less compared to other places in Venice. Our room did not have air conditioner but it was manageable with two fans.

I have just returned from staying for 3 nights at the Sunny Terrace Hostel with my friend. We had 2 single rooms which we could not fault. Yes it was warm with no a/c however with the windows open it was easy to sleep. One room had a fan which was greatly appreciated! The hostel staff were always very pleasant and I found that leaving our key at reception worked well for us as it meant not having to carry it around. I was also able to borrow a hairdryer from reception which was very helpful. The hostel is in easy reach of the water bus stop, amazing (reasonably priced) restaurants and we found co-op very helpful for breakfast. We loved the terrace and spent an evening drinking wine looking at the beautiful view which was perfect for us! I had a very easy and pleasant stay and if returning to Venice would happily stay on the island of Giudecca and in the Sunny Terrace Hostel again.

So high price for such a terrible hostel. The place is a student residence. Basically, all services mentioned are ONLY for students. They didn't even let us access the kitchen. Room was extremely hot (32 degrees according to the thermometer there), and no Air conditioning! Without WiFi in rooms, either cleaning stuff. Also the room was absolutely visible and accessible from every single window, with common terrace at the same level... I would definitely never repeat!
