Hotel Alcyone

Very centrally located hotel, highly recommended

we had a good time, very good sweet and savoury breakfast and kindness of staff Very welcome Samaritan who showed us many little things of Venice

The hotel is in very very poor condition and below some safety standards for example torn up carpet between my room and hallway major trip hazard. Nails stick out bathroom wall when the wooden door frame edging is missing. Tiles exposed cracks and peeling ceiling from water leak. Halls of hotel being used as storage behind curtains unsightly and trip hazard. When I spoke to the staff on reception they said the hotel managers knows. Everyone complains about the rooms and I should go back to my booking agent for a refund.
