This hotel underwent extensive renovation in 2023 making it a simply grand and elegant site. It is located within a few minutes’ walk of Saint Mark’s Square, making it accessible to much of the center of Venice activity by foot. There is a gondola stand right outside the door, which makes for an interesting and bustling experience. My hotel room on the second floor looked out over a canal that had much gondola traffic. The hotel staff were extremely hospitable and accommodating, personally walking me anywhere, even off the premises. My reservation was upgraded to a suite for some reason unknown to me. But it probably would’ve been worth it to pay for that upgrade. The morning breakfast that was included was very nice and had a great selection, including eggs to order. The hotel has three separate buildings that are next to each other, which made it just a bit confusing to find my way around. Overall, a fabulous place for a stay in Venice!

Excellent experience for first trip to Venice. Great location, view from terrace and couldn’t have asked for better staff experience. Love everything about it and hope to come back!

Where do I begin to describe this exceptional hotel? I chose Violino d’Oro as the home base for celebrating my 60th birthday with 40 friends, and it exceeded every expectation. Perfectly located, the hotel is an elegant Venetian gem with beautifully appointed rooms and sophisticated interiors. More than anything, it feels like the most stylish private home in Venice. What truly sets Violino d’Oro apart, however, is its extraordinary staff. They welcomed every one of our guests with genuine warmth and worked alongside us before and throughout our stay to ensure that every detail was seamless. They made everyone feel comfortable, cared for, and free to simply enjoy the celebration with friends and family. Their hospitality is gracious, intuitive, and truly world-class. It is one of the finest hotel experiences I have ever had, and I cannot imagine a more perfect place to stay in Venice. I look forward to returning.
