We did stay in this hotel for couple nights. If you will ask me, "do I like to stay again in this hotel - my answer is"no". Very small room, old doors, poor breakfast, not nice small in the corridors. Not good designed guest room. Entree to the hotel without clear sign. So , I will never recommend this hotel to my friends.

My Wife and I stayed here for 3 nights early this month. The rooms are spacious and typically Venetian. We booked a junior suit which is located on the second floor, I believe there are four suits on this level that all share a communal sitting room and balcony. The balcony looks out across the square and there is a canal directly underneath it. If you booked this room with a private balcony with a similar view in Saint Marco you would pay ten times the price, so I think this is a very acceptable compromise. Now for the best bit........the staff are amazing. It was my wife’s birthday whilst we stayed in Venice, they noticed this from my wife’s passport details and on the day of her birthday Maria, the breakfast waitresses, organised a table on the balcony and a small birthday cake for her. The staff did this all off there own back! It was such a lovely gesture. The only small thing I think needs addressing, are the pillows in the bed are a tad worn out and very flat, apart from this, this has to be one of the best hotels in Venice. We will definitely be coming back.

This is a beautiful hotel with amazing rooms and good service, our only negative was that the breakfast was not great and when we arrived the room was full and we had to wait for a table However we had a lovely stay at this 14th century wonderful building
