Park Hotel Villa Leon d'Oro

We can only talk about our room that we found claustrophobic. Barely half a meter scarce space around the bed, the ability to leave only one suitcase, Trolley in a suitable space. Pillows to replace immediately Very hard The bathroom is more like a boat cabin than a hotel. One aspect generates firmness to the 80s. we can't say anything about cleanliness Room only 80€

I booked a room in this hotel through Booking.com, where I specifically selected I needed accommodation for 3 adults for one night. When we arrived there, upon viewing the room, we realized that the extra bed, although adult size, was rather small and had a fragile look. We asked if we could get another one, to which the receptionist snapped at me, saying that this is what we get if we book a room for 2 adults and 1 child (which we did not). When I pointed that out, the staff got angry, started yelling and looking through their files to prove me wrong. As we were all tired and just needed a place to stay overnight in the middle of a very long car trip, we took the room as it was. During the night, we were woken up by a loud sound which was the extra bed BREAKING under me. I took the mattress to the side and saw that the bed had been broken before and was fixed with some TAPE (picture below). In the morning, I find out that the payment of the room didn't go through because the card I used on Booking.com was a debit card and the hotel could not process it. I went to the reception and offered to pay cash and asked if there was a possibility of paying less due to what we experienced during the night. The woman behind the desk (different than the man from a day before) started yelling at me that she would call the police and that "This is Italy, not Romania (where we are from)!" and that we were bad guests. After a long round of yelling back and forth, I ended up paying the whole price while she was dialling the police number. Tbh, all I actually wanted was a little bit of understanding and one "Sorry this happened, but I am just a receptionist and cannot make discounts" would have been enough. Instead, I was yelled at, threatened with the police and insulted. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

We spend one night in the hotel, it was quite uncomfortable, as king size bad is only 1,4 m wide, too narrow and uncomfortable for two person. It shouldn’t happened in 4 star hotel. This is actually the only reason for low rate - breakfast was fine, staff was very pleasant, building is nice, but still they should do something about bad...
