Royal San Marco & Suites

We stayed in a suite. The hot water failed on 3 occasions in 3 days The room safe did not work. Staff, both at the front desk and the person in charge of resolving issues, were not very friendly or quick. Staff were too serious, not empathetic, and lacked friendliness. The hotel needs renovation; it is very old. Well located.

Positive points of the hotel are: Good location and air conditioning ok. Negatives: Small room, we can hardly open our bags. Pillow was tough, looked like a rock. Bathroom tight, the shower was actually a shower and the box was a bathtub with a curtain, which does not give you much space to be able to take a bath comfortably. The hotel is said as 4 stars, but honestly I think it is only 2...

We stayed at the affiliated Albergo Cavaletto & Doge Arceolo, where we had breakfast. The venue was on the second floor, up the stairs in front of the front desk. It's a biffe style. The best was bacon and pancakes.
