We stayed for three days in this beautiful hotel located in a residential area of Venice. Total tranquility, excellent service, cleanliness, and a kind welcome. We are given all the information regarding our stay and the visit to the city, and we are provided with a particularly comprehensive map. Varied, abundant, and quality breakfast. The restaurant's offering needs to be reviewed and improved, as it is not up to the hotel's 4-star standard, despite the kindness and helpfulness of the staff.

This is another review where I wish I could give half stars. It’s definitely a boutique hotel, located in a quiet area of Venice. The only sounds we heard were a few local owners’ dogs barking in the mornings. The room was very clean, and the staff at both the hotel and restaurant were among the best of the best. I wish I’d gotten the name of the young Italian guy with dark curly hair and dark-rimmed glasses—he was extremely helpful with recommendations for the area and places to eat. The only real disappointment was the view: just across a narrow walkway from a residential building, with no real view at

So nice to visit a hotel that looks exactly like the publicity photos. The location is perfect for relaxing after a busy day sight seeing; in a quiet residential area with a beautiful park full of locals in the evenings. Close by the water bus stop ( highly recommend buying a multi day ticket as its so easy to hop on and off all around Venice as well as visit the other islands like Morano, Borano and the cemetery ). Room was on the top floor, small but beautifully decorated with air con and a large fan had been placed in the room on our arrival. Checked in early but returned a couple of hours later with our bags in our room having visited the near by street with shops restaurants and bars recommended by the lovely staff on reception ( provided a map and highlighted shops etc ). The whole hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. Beautiful garden for relaxing so peaceful. Breakfast was excellent in a very stylish setting. One tip I would pass on is if you are coming from Marco Polo airport, grab a taxi to Piazzale Roma ( 40 Euro fixed fair ) then a water taxi to S. Elena ( hotel stop ) 90 Euro. What a fantastic way to arrive in Venice. ( or take the water bus to the same stop for around 10 euros pp ) Sometimes in life it is worth paying a little extra and the Hotel Indigo is a perfect example, considered other hotels before this one but so glad we chose the Indigo and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
