Albergo Arena

Contrary to what I had read this basic hotel offers what you need to stay, rest and visit Verona on foot (it is next to Castelvecchio). I had a spacious room just renovated with WiFi and ok facilities. Elevator. Courteous receptionist. Given the low prices it is obvious that there is no bar and that it has only one star (maybe it deserves two). For breakfast excellent pastry (historical local) in front of TWO minutes. The parking (box) they offer is with independent access and is located a few minutes ... allows you to leave your car and forget it.

Bad experience. Let’s start with the small detail that this is not a “hotel” so don’t expect any service that a hotel could offer: no 24-hour reception, breakfast or even just a bottle of water since the rooms are without it and in the lobby there is a nice lock on the only existing fridge. The room was dirty, the TV not working, the sheets pierced and the bathroom.... The bathroom in addition to having hairs attached to the walls of the shower, was very dirty and also had a clogged sink from which the crap trapped in the duct came out; it also leaked water from the base flooding the entire floor. We tried to report the problems to those responsible but we were just ignored more than once. I strongly advise against it!
