Best Western Firenze

The only saving grace here is the staff, who are extremely kind and try in every way to patch things up. The property has an excellent location, being close to the station and the Arena/historic center. For the rest, let's draw a veil of pity: dated and exhausted furnishings, a hodgepodge of objects without any sense or common thread, the breakfast fairly varied but of medium-low quality, and above all, cleanliness—this unknown concept (everywhere, not just in the rooms). I reiterate that if it weren't for the staff, one would really have to get angry, considering it is sold as a 4-star hotel at a cost that is definitely not cheap. The only thing that works is the Wi-Fi network. If you really don't want to renovate and modernize, at least pay attention to the cleanliness.

Stayed here before in a premier room. The room offered on this visit was dire, two small windows one blocked by fire escape the other close to drab tall buildings. We asked to change rooms this seemed to give the staff a problem they were not too happy. Eventually they provided us with another after saying no other room was available. The room seemed not to have been used for sometime the floor being dirty! We were not informed that Ferretti hotels had taken this over. Staff fine, breakfast good. Lady running bar and working in dinning room brilliant. Would say after our experience on the whole was down quite a bit from last visit in 2023. This in our view is now a 3 star not 4 star hotel.

Now the Ferrento Hotel Firenze. Good location for station, only 10 mins from Arena, comfy bed but wierd wooden base which you bump/bruise your legs on and effective (not brilliant) soundproofing. Very dated and tired even the staff seemed fed up. The bathroom flooded when we had a shower and had to get it mopped up. Air conditioning noisy and operated from reception. Drap and pretty awful. Probably worst place we've stayed in years.
