Residence Antico San Zeno

“preserved” hotel from the medieval era! You can’t “touch” anything. We booked 3 rooms, one of which should necessarily be on the ground floor, and this was requested and confirmed in the reservation, however, my parents put on the 1st floor. Breakfast is good if you arrive at 7:30, if you arrive a little later, nothing is backup. In my sister’s room, they wanted to charge a fee of 500 euros, because they said they “broke” the kitchen door, however this door was working “normally” when we left the hotel for a tour, and the charge was not made only because my sister’s cartel was blocked for international transaction. At the checkout they said that we will be added to the “blacklist” of the booking and we will be sued for this. In a conversation with a maid at the hotel, she said that for months they were warning the direction that this door was in trouble and another employee said that with 20 euros this door would have been repaired.

Excellent solution for a night in Verona just a few minutes from the center (10/15 minutes on foot). The San Zeno neighborhood is very quiet and the location is easy to find. Timely and kind welcome. Very large and well-equipped room: there is also a small kitchen area for those who might want to cook, perhaps for a visit of several days. Abundant and very varied breakfast. I found the perfect solution for future stays in beautiful Verona!

A very nice place with average rooms. It's a pity about some mishaps in the bathroom. Cold water did not come out of the sink; rather, only a trickle came out, to the point that I had to brush my teeth in the bidet. The shower head was about to fall on my head (it unscrewed), and the old seals on the door meant that by the end of the shower, the bathroom was flooded. The bathroom needs a refresh, especially the base of the shower and in some corners that are very dirty and worn out over time. The bed was excellent for sleeping, and the sweet and savory breakfast was superb. At the reception, I expected a bit more cheerfulness from the staff. Something that has never happened to me before, they made me sign a paper stating that I was responsible for some antique items located around the premises and that I had to be careful not to touch them and accidentally break them. Alright.
