Grand Palladium was overall fantastic. The staff were so friendly, and the entire resort was very child-friendly. However, I would advise anyone traveling to Grand Palladium Jamaica to prepare for a long wait for the transport and a long bus ride to Point Lucea. The Grand Palladium app would've been a great resource for the map, the hours for restaurants, pool, etc. But it never worked for me. The food was delicious, but no restaurants were open between 10:30 am and 12pm, so if you're an early luncher, like me, you will have to wait until the earliest restaurant (Negril) opens at 12. Which, by the way, the Negril restaurant was closed when we got there. I also wish the pools had longer hours. 9:30 to 6pm was a short time for the pools to be open. The staff did make us feel right at home, made us feel like family, and were always happy to help. However, I did not like being blindsided with a pitch to join their higher travel program for thousands of dollars. We were not told ahead of time where they were taking us, what they were expecting to do, and how long it would take. Our baby got incredibly ansty while waiting through this 1hour+ pitch. And while it sounded like a good deal for people in the top 1% of incomes, it was out of our price range, yet we had to sit through the whole presentation anyway. There were some areas of the resort still being worked on in the wake of the hurricane. That's understandable. But it was not as luxurious as we once would've thought. I would wait until they make all the upgrades before traveling here again. But I will say, the bang for your buck is great. We got the least expensive room and it was still beautiful. Large, with a great view. However it was on the 3rd floor and there were no elevators, so be prepared. We also went for our belated honeymoon but were not offered any sort of congratulations, upgrade, or anything, despite the fact that I put that information in our reservation and told them once we arrived. The drinks were delicious but LIGHT on the alcohol (which is supposed to be included). So be aware of that. Overall, would recommend and would return, but it's good to keep these improvements in mind if you're considering Grand Palladium Jamaica or Lady Hamilton.

The location is quite remote, but we didn’t mind that at all. The resort itself is beautiful—the beach, pools, lobby, and restaurants are lovely. The Jamaican restaurant was definitely our favourite, although we didn’t enjoy the Mexican restaurant. Unfortunately, we had several issues on our first night. Our room wasn’t clean, the phone and fridge weren’t working, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly and made a dripping noise throughout the night. As we were travelling with our baby, it certainly wasn’t the ideal start to our holiday. To the staff’s credit, they handled the situation well and moved us to a different room the following morning. The new room was much better, but I do feel the accommodations are in need of significant renovations and general maintenance. Many areas look dated, and there are a lot of small repairs that could make a big difference. I’m not referring to hurricane-related damage, but things like broken door handles, chipped paint, and broken pool tiles that should be relatively easy to fix. Our housekeeper, Eve, was absolutely wonderful—so kind, caring, and attentive. In fact, every member of staff we encountered was friendly, hardworking, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcome. They are truly the resort’s biggest asset and deserve recognition for the excellent service they provide. Overall, we had a fun and enjoyable stay, but the resort would really benefit from some much-needed updates and maintenance to match the outstanding service provided by its staff.
