Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort All Inclusive

We came to holiday inn for 2 weeks from 1st Feb to 15th Feb 2017, the hotel is situated 25-30 away from the airport, its 10 minutes away from a shopping village or 5 minute walk away from local shops (tourist shops) the hotel has everything on site which is good if u don't want to leave the hotel but it's about 50-60% more than if u went for a walk or short taxi ride, the main dining hall is very good, all types of food and it's different every day, the Caribbean & Italian restaurant is top notch, over all the hotel is very good, you get what you pay for. The hotel offers trips out at a cost $$$, all the trips are very expensive!!! But the hotel knows that 90% of the visitors will not come back so they know they can charge it and people will pay it? The hotel also does water sports which is free 🙂 and motorised water sports which there is a charge, again very expensive ($130 for 10 minutes to do paragliding for 2 people 😖) The hotel taxi service is a scam, example Burger King 2m 40s down the road in a taxi is $24 return, local taxi over the road from hotel its $2 per person return, now don't let the hotel fool you by telling you there illegally and don't have insurance (they tell you this so you'll pay there price) I used the local taxi 4-5 times and it was good, they didn't say at the end of your journey "if you enjoyed your trip you can show your appreciation by tipping the driver!!!) The hotel will try to frighten u, but all I can say is use your own judgement and remember the hotel is only interested in making money!! So they will say anything to put you off. The housekeepers are really good, came every day and cleaned the room, changed the bedding and gave fresh towels. The hotel does require a credit or debit card or $75 as a deposit incase you break anything in your room. It's also $100 charge if you or your child loses there wrist band. Kids entertainment is fantastic, Mr T is great, there is a games room for the older kids which is charged at $3 for 30 minutes per child and it's only got Xbox 360 and a football table.

We booked a wedding with the organiser of Catalonia Hotel It did not take place because of the hurricane destroyed the hotel and widest part of Jamaica. We were devastated for the peoole of Jamaica and what they went through. However we had to reorganise our wedding and married local in the UK. It was promised to get our deposit back for our wedding what never happened and they are unresponsive ever since. This is not a serious hotel and i would dissuade anyone to book a wedding with them It is a shame i had to write that review but wanted to warn others to have to go for something similar with them
