Merrils Beach 2 All Inclusive

We were at Merrils Beach Resort II from June 29 to July 3; we were a bit reluctant because of the reviews since they weren't very good, and the truth is it's very good. You should know that it's not a 5-star hotel, but for the price-to-value ratio, it's very good, good food in a small buffet, poor drinks although the beer is very good, the rooms are spacious and clean, everything worked (A/C. Cable TV. Wi-Fi and hot water) beautiful beach, very attentive staff; if you know basic English it will be enough. On Wednesdays they bring a group and they sing Bob Marley classics. The beach smells like marijuana because many people walk by smoking, but they don't bother you. The Rasta Mikey took us on his boat to swim in a nearby reef, very beautiful, many fish and corals; the truth is we had a very good time.

Perfect location the sea and the beach are top...unfortunately on the hotel I only found negative things, poor variety of food and what little even of very poor quality. Wet rooms with dated furniture, difficult curtains to open, I had to x the whole holiday keep them drawn. Animation nonexistent. The tropical garden surrounding the rooms is wonderful and well maintained. Would not stay there x another holiday

Even when we arrived late in the evening, we were warmly welcomed at the reception and our suitcases were carried to the room by the staff! Our room in colonial style, with high ceilings, large fan and a barely audible but super functioning aircondition was immediately closed into our hearts with a super nice balcony overlooking the enchanting palm garden! Starting with breakfast, lunch and dinner, that everything was served in a manageable but very well-served and tasty buffet, we have already met on the 6th. Everything tried and enjoyed day in a row! The staff, starting with the cleaning lady, service staff & cooks in the unique restaurant overlooking the sea, as well as reception, have always been very concerned about our well-being! Every wish was literally read from our eyes!! Conclusion: my 1. Jamaica trip and we have already planned the next one in our thoughts, but if then only to the Merrils Resort! I don't need to say a word about the dreamlike 7miles Beach... My 1. Hotel review, not bought or similar, but I wanted to share our honest opinion of the resort here! Ok, a little criticism: the Wi-Fi could be a shade more stable, ya man! Paul B.
