Sunset on the Cliffs

When I booked this hotel it was a bit of a leap of faith bc there were few reviews and my emails went unanswered. So I hope this is helpful. The pros: 1. The dive shop on site was terrific, very kind and patient staff made us feel like we had friends in Negril. We ended up preferring the house reef as a shore dive over the boat diving, and cliff jumping was fun. 2. The view from our balcony was Ahhhmazing. We had both a standard room and the junior suite with kitchen. Both were comfortable. 3. The pool was lovely - not the fanciest, but large, deep, and surrounded by tropical vegetation. 4. The location was close to several restaurants and bars. We walked to Rockhouse (super) Sips n Bites (fine) Erica's (delicious but bring $JA) and a dive bar with cold beer. The cons: 1. The staff was inconsistent: One woman was really on top of things, others seemed to be just holding down the furniture. Be prepared to be very assertive about what you need. 2. If there's an event next door it is so loud you'll feel you are actually attending it. Which may be fun! 3. Not a luxury place, it's priced low and there may be things here and there below perfection (for context I usually book 3 or 4 star places). There is, technically, a bar and restaurant on this property but it was closed when we were there as things were just locking down due to COVID, so I can't review that. Bring your own bottle opener. I would stay here again.

My wife did diving with the place associated with this resort and we spent couple of hours there jumping from the cliff and enjoying the view. The place was pretty much empty. Looks like needs little bit of TLC.

The room we had was first floor ocean view. In the room king bed , tv, microwave and shower. The shower pressure was very slow and at times cold water would come out only during your shower. They don’t have a restaurant or bar. Do have a pool. The Main Street there are no sidewalks so it’s dangerous. The shuttle to the sister property their is a fee. So be prepared to pay for a taxi if you want to go to the beach. There was a hotel that had dinner it was a 3 minute walk and a little pricey it was very nice and food was great . (Rock house)
