First of all, the amiable uncle at the check-in counter sucks. When I arrived at the hotel tired, I was treated lousy. Also, the room sucks. Towels were left in the bathtub, which we didn't know who had used them, and under the bed and desks were covered in dust. The emergency exit sign behind the door had a sticker peeled off that said "Hotel Grand Terrace Chitose" and "Nikko Hotel Chitose" was visible. I wish it was old but beautiful, but it was the worst if it was not well cleaned.

A few years ago, when the airport⇔hotel shuttle bus service was suspended, the company claimed to offer cashback (up to 1,000 yen, I think) on taxi fares from New Chitose Airport. When I took the train to Chitose Station to submit a receipt for the taxi fare from Chitose Station in order to reduce the cashback amount to some extent, a woman who glanced at it said, "It is too cheap. Which way did you get on the train? We don't give cash back on taxi fares from outside of New Chitose Airport," and I didn't get a yen. I've felt very sorry for what was supposed to be a win-win. In the first place, the receipt did not specify the section I was riding in, and I was very sad to hear that the sign was misrepresented. My room was in pain everywhere, and I had no choice but to have a lonely dinner at a convenience store across the street from a restaurant. I will never stay here again. I will resent it for the rest of my life.

Breakfast starts at 5:45. Bus transfers were also helpful. Coffee is served in the lobby. The breakfast was very good. There is butter, not margarine. Milk is not low-fat milk either, there is local milk. The mackerel and salmon are heated by themselves and eaten warm. Dinner is last order from 8pm, but guests can eat it fairly cheaply, so it's recommended. The public bath is large enough to accommodate 4 people.
